How To Play: Establish a set pattern in the room or circle. The player who starts the pattern begins by counting aloud, starting with either “one” or “one, two”. The next player then counts up by one or two numbers. Counting continues in the pattern until the number 10 is reached. The player who has to say “10” is out and sits down. Play resumes and continues until only one person is left standing.
Variations: Other challenges can include counting to 10 in different languages, skip counting, or spelling/vocabulary words in which players can say one letter or two. The number 10 can also be changed as well as how many numbers a player may call. The game also works well as a partner or small group activity.
